It's hard to hold up 3 fingers- it's also hard to remember that you're 3 and not 5. But she can count to 20 perfectly.

She wanted a "princess cake" and I got this idea from
Family Fun Magazine. It took a lot of time to make because I had to cut out each of those crown pieces in sugar cookie dough with a template, and while I was trying to make it, surrounded by my messy kitchen (messy house actually) I was questioning whether it was a good use of my time, but in the end it turned out pretty cute, and she LOVED it. When I asked her what her favorite part of her birthday was she answered "Ummm, the cake, and the cake, and the cupcakes, oh, and swimming."

What a sweetheart. Sometimes we do question if it is worth it and then we see the smiles of the kids and it make the messy house worth it! Love you, Mom
what a sweet girl she is. happy birthday!
I absolutely love that cake and am printing the picture out so someday when I have a little girl I can make it! :) We had one of those birthdays where I made a pirate ship cake for Travis and he still remembers it. The house being dirty will ALWAYS be there. Our little ones will not always be little! :)
Katie, that cake is so dang cute. It looks too pretty to eat. Happy birthday to Miss E, she's even cuter than the cake:)
