Fashion Friday? noooooooooo

I'm totally not qualified to talk about fasion, but I need some advise from those of you who are- Can these kind of shirts be worn tucked in? I have a similar one I love but I look obese in it untucked over jeans. So can I tuck, or should this shirt go in the DI pile- I can handle the truth. And PS- if you do like fashion (or just need some input) Cardigan Empire is a really fun blog to read. I especially like it because reading her lovely description of apple shaped figures made me almost ok with mine.

i'm not very fashionable, but i would say you could tuck. or leave it untucked and tie a ribbon around your waist. i don't know!

i have a couple shirts that style and i wouldn't tuck mine but maybe you could get away with it. oh and i def. look pregnant in mine so maybe stephanie's ribbon idea would do the trick.

I love that ribbon idea. I have a shirt like this that works tucked into a certain pair of very structured pair of trousers or sailor pants. I have another blouse that has too much gathering in the front--so it doesn't work tucked in. I dunno. If you tuck it in and you have to ask--I guess I'd say, no?

Thanks for the imput- I tried it tucked at home for a bit and there was definatly something wrong... I don't really have a waist for the ribbon, so I will just wear it as is, or not at all! Thanks again, lame post, I know.

DO NOT TUCK!! Instead, find a wide belt that fits around the smallest part of your waist (up high near an "empire" waist line). And belt it! (Stephanie's ribbon idea is great too...the wider the better.) It will accentuate your narrowest part, and then fall away from your mid section. And if it's too long (and if you feel that is contributing to the problem), you can bring it up a few inches (if you sew). This will keep it from falling right at the hip/buns area.
