Still Undecided? Not feeling it?

If your mind is made up, I can't change it, (and won't try) so skip this post, (please don't leave me mean comments!) BUT if you are unsure, or even just not passionate about your decision, read on for a minute. It's a tough time to be a republican- a lot of our leaders have let us down. Obama is so eloquent and really makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and hopeful, he's intelligent and respectful, I wish he could be my candidate. I used to be of the belief that the President's job is basically to be a good cheer leader. It wasn't until a few weeks ago I became passionate about my decision to vote for McCain. If I thought he was a bad leader, or an evil, corrupt guy, who was only pro-life to try and trick all us dumb people to vote for him, then I would take a look at another candidate, but when it comes down to it, is there anything so GOOD about Obama's (or so BAD about McCain;s) economic/tax/healthcare/education plans, that it puts the value of human life second? (and I personally believe McCain has the better economic/tax/healthcare plans) It's suddenly so clear, please click HERE. And this is the third time I edited this post, but (click) THIS video just arrived in my inbox- it's powerful. Watch it, and go VOTE! It's not over till it's over. I won't get political on here again.

I am so glad it is over too...I voted early. One of the many results of this election has been that the Republican Party realizes its message and its direction has gotten lost and they will become stronger because of it. That will be better for America and better for the party.
After the election I heard people repeating many of the McCain slogan's...we are going to lose our freedoms and become a socialist nation, our taxes are going to go up, the world won't be safe any longer. Really, how can half the nation be so upset and the other half to elated?

The Republican party is so much more than pro-life and gay rights (as is the Democratic party)...and please realize...I have never met a pro choice person who was for abortion...it is a choice...one that may not need to be made because pro choice people are for better education in the home and schools, for honest options and counseling, and for better monitoring of TV and movie choices by informed parents on behalf children and teens, etc.

Now, our nation is in a mess and we need untiy, not fear, to rule the day. There are differences in party approaches...that's good...but there needs to be compromise and negotiation...no more lines drawn in the sand. We need to stop defining patriotism as Republican...Democrate as evil. If you haven't heard any of Obama's message hear at least his desire to unite America with all of its differences. There is a great deal behind this man's eloquence...intelligence, vision, hope, ideas, and he is surrounding himself with the same type of people.

You may want to learn more about Michelle Obama...I am so excited to have her as a first lady. Her personal story is compeling, South side Chicago, middle class parents who believed in education, first class education through family sacrifice, family first, intelligent...That is the true American Dream...put fear aside and look for the areas you can appreciate and support with Obama's presidency and regarding the things you disagree with...write your congressional representitives and tell them how you feel. Stay engaged in the process and widen your media choices to a bit of CNN and NPR news along with your Fox...you may feel less fearful, more balanced, and more empowered.
