I am having food issues- I don't know what's for dinner. What are you having? Comment on this one every day please- this is a common problem around here. I would love to know what everyone else eats.
hmmmmm...tonight lentils my kids favorite. cubed steak and mashed potatoes and gravy, taco salad is always a big hit, chicken noodle soup, potato soup, those are a few of our favorites. i am interested to see what everyone else puts!
We had spaghettii, salad and frozen garlic breadsticks(from Costco, very yummy and the kids love them!)-same old same old! Another favorite which a girlfriend just called me for the recipe..I made it up...is.. I put chicken breast in the crockpot with half a bottle of the fire roasted salsa from Costco(I have to use this brand)...let it cook all day and then shred it and add an 8oz package of cream cheese.. let the cheese melt for about 45 min and mix it all together. Serve on corn tortillas with shredded cheese on top and spanish rice as a side! It's a favorite and very good! I promise!
Tonight we had a ham and cheddar loaf. It is a recipe from Kraft. It is simple, and sometimes the kids even help make it. We had corn and peaches with it, but you can also do a salad or anything else that you would like with it.
You should check out Organizing Junkie's blog. Every Monday she host's what she calls Menu Plan Monday. Everyone from the blogosphere goes to her blog and links their "menus" every week. That will definately give you lots of ideas of what to cook.
Well....let's see. Last night Justin brought home hot wings and tonight I think we might have taco soup. That's always good, right? We'll see if that actually happens. It's a bit early in the day to be making predictions for the dinner hour.
Green Chili Pork with Homemade Salsa or Something "Rachel Ray." Depends on how ambitious I am. I am such a fan of Rachel Ray stuff, almost everything tastes good and is fairly easy to make. I have all her cook books if you want to borrow them and make copies.
canned roast beef, shredded, in a frying pan, add favorite bbq sauce, warm, put on hamburger bun, then eat it. seriously, it takes 5 minutes. i was so happy to come across this super easy meal.
Hmmmm question of the day. I hate nothing more then when Preston calls home or walks in the door with a "What's for dinner" I mean seriously. If you don't see something waiting don't bother asking :)
We had yummy chicago style hot dogs at a hot dog place Power and Brown. It was yummy!
I make a menu each week. After the week is over I look at it for the next week so we don't end up eating the same thing 2 weeks in a row. I try to make 2 weeks of dinners that aren't the same. This helps give of weeks more variety. It doesn't always work, but I try. This week was: Grilled chicken, corn & salad Lasagna & salad Hawaian Haystacks Tacos I don't cook on Friday/Saturday. Good luck! It stinks to be stuck in a rut. I so hate that!
Now that it's getting chilly - I love soups/beans.... Tonight was going to be Lima bean cabbage soup (sounds yucky but it is soooooooooooooooo good!) but my morning was crazy so I'm saving it for tomorrow. I also love to make white turkey chili (I don't know anyone that doesn't love it), pinto beans w/ rice, yellow curry w/ chicken & rice. Or Grilled chicken w/ steamed carrots and broccoli is always a good one... I'm gonna check out that blog w/ the menu ideas!! Can never have enough ideas!
Last night was chk. salad sandwihes. But....One of my family's favorites and that's so easy are ribs. I buy the baby back ribs from costco and separate them into portions for our family size and stick them in the freezer. Then thaw one in the fridge the day before. That morning, I put them in my crockpot with Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce all over them (the best BBQ sauce ever!) and cook on low all day (about 8 hours). You never have to touch them and your house smells so yummy. Good luck
I really like to make stuff: food, cards, scrapbooks, sewing projects, crafts, etc, but finding the time to actually DO those things without neglecting my home, husband, and kids is difficult! I love Dr. Pepper with a passion, and my husband Sam too! (and I use way too many exclamation points when typing!)

I'm cleaning out the fridge/freezer before I leave so we got mashed potatoes, deviled eggs & hamburger patties (no buns). Sound appetizing?

I need to think of more, but I love throwing chicken into a crockpot with salsa and then shredding that and put it on anything...easy and yummy!

Sweet Baby Ray's IS the best BBQ sauce ever. Use it on everything.
