I might be a Harry Potter fan

I decided I really want to get into Harry Potter. For some reason I had not been able to make it through an entire movie without falling asleep so this week we have been watching them- and Sam made me stay awake. (well, I fell asleep at the end of #2 for a bit) BUT I really liked the last one, the Goblet of Fire, and now I actually know some of the characters names besides Harry, and I am ready and excited to go see #5 for date night this week! Has anyone seen it and want to give me their review? Maybe when Miss B gets a little older we can read the books together. I don't usually like movies with weird looking people or creatures but I think I like these ones now.

Katie, Katie, Katie. You need to READ the books! Seriously, you can read one in about 2 days (if you give your family any attention, 1 day if not) and they are so much better than the movies! Oh, I am so jealous of those who get to read them for the first time and be surprised at what is going on. Or, you can just watch the movies, but it is such a fun nerdy culture to immerse yourself into. (PS. if your in YW, you have tons of conversation starters.)

first of all, i'm not a fan of science fiction movies either. in fact, i've never read or seen harry potter or any other fiction phenomenon for that matter. you'll have to convince me if it's worth it. second, i loved your hawaii pictures. i almost didn't want to look at them since i knew i'd be jealous as i sit here in my house day in and day out with no view. no beach either. looks like it was a fun trip.

Katie,
Go to Stacie's blog and look at how much she likes the books. I take it that Sam read them, or does he just like the movies? They are not science fiction, but they are a lot better if you have read the books.
Stacie links to your blog from hers, but I was not sure if you even knew that she had a blog. Your kids are getting big. Post more pictures of Sam and his hounds.

I don't think Sam has read the books, but he loves the movies. I know I need to read the books, I'm sure they're even better. Josh, I do know Staci has a blog- I check in on your cute family and I link to her blog too! I'm not sure how I found it but it is fun to get to know all these ladies through their blogs!

PS- Sam has a blog too, he doesn't call it that though, it's his online hunting diary! Plenty of pictures of the dogs... I'll tell him to e-mail it to you!

So...did you go yet? What did you think? I liked this movie best out of all of them so far. I think the director did a better job than in the others. But I agree with the ladies above who were urging you to pick up the books and go to town. You'd enjoy them.
