Guilt-Free Date Night Giveaway!

Today I'm excited to do (my first) blog giveaway! We tried Chili's Guiltless Grill this weekend and it was good. I thought I would miss my usual Boneless Buffalo Wings or Big Mouth Burger but I was pleasantly surprised at how good our food tasted. All of the Guiltless Grill items are under 750 calories and 25 grams of fat and come with a good sized side of steamed vegetables. I tried the Chicken Platter and Sam had the Carne Asada Steak. I expected his steak to be miniature but it was actually a good size.I got 4 certificates from BzzAgent and it was tempting to keep the other 2 for ourselves but ultimately decided it would be better to have a a giveaway to spread the word about the Guiltless Grill menu. Besides the grilled chicken and steak, they have a chicken sandwich, grilled salmon, black bean burger, grilled tilapia or honey glazed salmon available too. Leave a comment on this post and you'll be entered to win 2 certificates for a free Guiltless Grill entree from Chili's, and I'm going to throw in my copy of the movie Fireproof. Enjoy a delicious, light dinner with your sweetheart, then go home and watch Fireproof together. If you are married and haven't seen Fireproof, I recommend it. It's not going to win any awards for sure, and I admit biting my tongue so I wouldn't laugh at some of the cliches but it really is a feel-good movie with an important message. If you don't win, consider buying a copy for yourself to show support. After you watch it pass it on to a friend. My mom bought copies of the movie for all of her married kids for Valentines and I confess my first thought was I wasn't particularly interested in watching a Christian movie about marriage, then I remembered I am a Christian! And I'm married. And Kirk Cameron is still kind of cute. If you seek after things "virtuous, lovely, of good report or praiseworthy," this movie is for you! So leave a comment on this post by midnight Friday 3/20 and I will announce the winner (chosen by random number generator) Saturday. Good luck!

Free Money!

That's my ad- I signed up for Survey Savvy some time ago, unsure if it was legit, but it came on a good recommendation so I gave it a try. Once I got my first check, I told my friends and family about it. Since then I have only filled out a few surveys, and I guess a few of the people I told about it did too, and today after I finished a 5 minute survey, I decided to see how much money I had and there was $71 in my account! So click on this link, and sign up, tell your friends, and start getting some money. It's not exactly enough to go on a shopping spree, but who will turn down free money?

Free Samples in honor of Joy

Today is my friend Joy's birthday- happy birthday Joy! (I don't think she reads this, but she is one of the sweetest, kindest people I know, and a wonderful mother, and she loves coupons and getting a good deal like me.)
Click HERE to get a coupon for a free Mountain Dew Blue Shock Slurpee from 7-11! (you know you want one...) I hope the link works.
Also, a coupon for a free drink and chips from Quiznos if you buy the Prime Rib on garlic bread sandwich. I don't know if I'll do that, but maybe Sam would like it? HERE is the link for that one if interrested.
Then there's this free digital scrapbooking kit with some cute stuff in it HERE. And have you checked out the free samples from Walmart? I feel like I'm getting a present in the mail when a free sample arrives. They usually have some good ones and they change frequently, click HERE to see what they've got now.
How about a free Old Spice Shaver! You have to sign up for the Old Spice Shaving Crew but that's what Hotmail accounts are for. HERE is the link to that one.
And finally, for a free sample of Dove clear deoderant, click HERE. As a special bonus you can watch an animation of a girl taking her shirt off and then putting it back on inside out.
That's all for tonight- I have cleaned out my junk e-mail and can sleep peacefully.

Happy Birthday Arizona! (yesterday...)

And happy Valentine's Day too! This card came from a free 4"x4" Valentine's brag book by Dani Mogstad that you can get here. I also made a cute card to give to the cousins and grandparents and ordered them from Winkflash but they didn't get here in time. I used stuff from the (free) Seasonal Sampler from The Shabby Princess to make it and you can download that kit here.
Yesterday was a fun day! We made some YUMMY heart shaped brownies for Sam, and put them in heart shaped box that started out really ugly (red with gold foil chocolate box you know) but I think we made it kind of cute. And my favorite Valentine's Day tradition- heart shaped pizzas- Miss B and Miss G each get to make their own- Miss G wouldn't let me take her picture.
Now I have to go take care of the laundry I ignored for the past couple days. You will find me chained to the washing machine all day...

If it's free, I'll take it

Something I neglected to include in my little bio on here, is that I'm a freebie junkie. I'm also a sucker for a good deal. I saw an Oprah one time about people having financial problems and one husband said "My wife's biggest problem is a four letter word: S-A-L-E." I think my husband could say the same for me. I cannot shop at Target without dropping $10 on "Dollar Spot" items! I love scouring the clearance racks or sifting through things at Ross, Big Lots or Tuesday Morning to find good deals. I think I am getting better about passing on things I don't need though but it's difficult. This passion of mine led me to Coupon Sense. They track the coupons that come in the Sunday paper and a lot of the printable online coupons with a handy numbering system, and then match them up to the items as they go on sale at the grocery store. Here's my coupon file:There are free things every week and lots of other good deals. It is now painful for me to pay more than $1 for a jar of pasta sauce, $1.50 for Cascade, or pay anything at all for toothbrushes and toothpaste. In fact, I get so much of those things free that I can donate a lot to food & supply drives throughout the year. (also cheaper brands of hair products and deoderant that we don't use) Another great thing about Coupon Sense is the message board- I used to spend too much time online searching for freebies and good deals but that's silly, and unneccessary with CS because people post the freebies and good deals they find right there. I can't share all the stuff on there because that would be stealing, but today I found a free razor- here's the link if you're interrested: http://www.noxzemashaving.com/shavingSquadForm.asp Now you can never say you don't get anything from reading my blog. You're welcome.
