Who's Your Hero?

Looking forward to the 4th of July weekend, these posters have been on my mind.  I want to teach my children about their country and what makes it great, where it came from and why it is different. (and know better myself)  I love what the artist Steve Nethercott had to say about them:  "In a world full of fantasy heroes and pop-stars, we should never forget the real heroes, with real courage, real strength, and real stories,"  I'm still trying to figure out where I would hang them, but I really want to getting some!  Along with the American Hero posters, he has a set of Bible hero posters and Book of Mormon hero posters that are really awesome. You can see them all HERE.
A few of my other favorites:
Hannah's Promise
Mother's of the Stripling Warriors
David and Goliath
Samuel the Lamanite

Everyone loves babies...

So I know Mila is going to become wildly famous while she sleeps. Her mom creates photo shoots during her naps (she tries to imagine her dreams and capture them) and puts them on her blog, Mila's Daydreams.  I'm hooked!
I love the beautiful things some people create! Click HERE to see the rest.

*just another great thing I found on Design Mom.

Rob Ryan Papercut artist

I saw this awesome, sweet print and decided I have another favorite artist to add to my sidebar list- Rob Ryan creates amazing artwork with paper and scissors. Reading this one made me cry a little: You can see more of his sweet work, and read his blog, or find his shop HERE.

v-day

We spent the day yesterday with the kids in the snow so there wasn't really any valentine's celebrating but it was a good day nonetheless. I saw some cute love related prints on Butterflies blog from Studio Mela and I really liked this one.

Neat project

Somehow I came across illustrator/designer Claire Mojher's blog and I really liked these bird plaques- they are pretty, and don't look too difficult to try sometime.

James Avery

I got a James Avery catalog in the mail the other day and almost tossed it out (overcoming my compultion to look through every catalog that comes in my home) but then I remembered this Dr. Pepper silver charm by James Avery I used to drool over, and I decided I had to take a peek. When it said "Religious Jewelry Selections" I expected a lot of crosses (which he had) but there were also a lot of other things I wanted to share. Like this Ichthus Bracelet: (I guess that's what the "Jesus Fish" is called) And this La Paloma (dove) charm:
And this pierced butterfly ring:
And though I don't wear crosses, I thought this one was beautiful and adorable:
And I decided to add a list to my sidebar of my favorite artists- all kinds, so check those out sometime!

Cool Art

This is really neat- artist Daniel Edlen paints musicians on their records. Click on the picture to go to his website:What a great gift for your favorite music lover- Lindsey, if you and Kipp need to buy for your crazy-KISS-fan-brother for Christmas this year, you need not waste another minute shopping:
