Getting Organized

I know my blog has been severely neglected- life just keeps going and blogging doesn't make it up the list- I think laundry has become a full time job in and of itself.... But I had this great idea (that has probably been had by a hundred other people) but it was new to me and so exciting I couldn't wait to share it here!  I saw this "hanging jewelry organizer" and since I own exactly 7 pieces of jewelry besides my wedding ring it looked like the perfect element & embellishment organizer!  It has 33 pockets on each side (that's 66 pockets!) and I was able to clear up so much shelf and desk top space by emptying out little bottles and boxes into the pretty clear pockets.  And the very best thing about it is it's portable!  I can hang it in my "cricut cupboard" (which is my old TV armoire) when I am working out there or haul it back to my bedroom desk when I'm working there.  So fun, it's changing my life already.  I have seen bigger ones (the kind for shoes I think) filled with punches and other tools and I think I need to get one of those now too- it can hang on the outside of my Cricut armoire, or behind my bedroom door.

Addicted

My husband would say that I'm addicted to Dr. Pepper, but I think worse is my mild fixation with the scrapbooking deal a day sites!  I really have to go check these sites first thing in the morning almost every day!
Peachy Cheap
Flowers to Flourishes
Crafty Steals
Scrapbook Steals
Crop Chocolate
I have ordered from a few things from them too. I love getting a deal and I just have to check once a day and I'm good- Crop Chocolate however is a little different because they change deals throughout the day, randomly!  Plus, you can add something to your "LaCarte" and keep it there for a couple weeks before checking out, and add to it, and if you get up to $60, you get free shipping!!  So it's awesome, and dangerous.  All the other ones you have to buy it or it's gone.  I've had some good luck at Big Lots and Tuesday Morning finding great deals on supplies too.

Glitz Layouts from NSD

I made these fun pages at a class on National Scrapbook Day a few weeks ago and finally put my pictures in- they were so fun!

They all use the Glitz Vintage Love stuff- my favorite are the little accent cards and tiny alpha stickers!

Cricut fans- act quickly!

Cricutmachine.com is having a SUPER "gold medal sale" that ends today I think, but all cartridges are $29.99! I usually try to buy them on e-bay and for the big complete ones (with shapes and alphabets) that's just about the cheapest you can get them if you are lucky, and stalk the auctions for a while! I wish I had more Christmas money left, there are a few I've been eyeing! If you've been thinking about buying a machine, they have the Cricut Create for $75 right now too.

Scrapbooking

A few weeks ago the girls requested to look at their "scrapbooks" and it was so fun to see how happy they were going through them, even the really cheesy pages. They didn't care that my pages don't look like the ones in the scrapbook magazines. I felt pretty bad when Miss E discovered that she only had a few pages done in her album while her sisters had at least one full book so I've been trying to get some scrapbooking done for her and it's FUN. Even though I don't love every page, I love the pictures and especially the little girl who is THRILLED to see each new page I make for her.
Flourish rub on, bling and border sticker are Glitz.I'm in love with those flower cardstock stickers from Basic Grey. The paper, journaling sticker and bling are Glitz, the star tag is from a pack of gift tags from Pier One.I kind of copied this idea from a page on the Glitz blog, the felt flowers and heart ar American Crafts and the papers, journaling sticker and sparrow sticker are Glitz. The left page is from a page kit, and the other one is just some more Glitz papers and cardstock stickers.

You can see by these baby pictures that I have a lot to do now that she's almost 4 but I'm looking forward to it!

Stamper?

I confess, when I think about stamps I usually think of little old ladies stampin' up their old lady crafts, especially "rubber stamps" but since all the cute clear stamps started coming out I started getting a little excited about them, and have even picked up a few. Exploring Etsy tonight I found this amazing, talented artist who sells her hand carved stamps- and they are so cute, perfect for making your own stationary, or stamping little recipe cards, invitations or something fun! Check out Corrabelle's shop HERE and look how cute these are!
